WASHINGTON - Construction of homes and apartments fell in July to the lowest level in more than 17 years, the government reported Tuesday.

That's right, Joe...

Yes Joe,

war is for people like yourself, who are too God damned stupid to solve problems through diplomacy. You are a scumbag!

Now we learn Richard Cheney has been implicated by the FBI as being closely involved in the Stevens corruption scandal. That's your kind of hero, isn't it, Joe!

Go fuck yourself, Joe...

They are called the 'Department of Defense', but you'll notice they were no fucking help on 9/11. They had 45 minutes between attacks and only needed eight minutes to get there, and yet no attempt was made to defend against the attacks.

Explain that one, Joe!

War

Post by lazarus »

The U.S. military suffered its 101st death of the year in Afghanistan last week when Sgt. 1st Class David J. Todd Jr., a 36-year-old from Marrero, La., died of gunfire wounds.

The total number of U.S. dead last year - 111 - was a record itself and is likely to be surpassed.

"The U.S. is now losing the war against the Taliban," Anthony Cordesman, of the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies, wrote in a report Thursday.

See what happens when blood-thirsty warmongers spread our troops too thin?

lets add slavery to the killing...

LOS ANGELES - The families of 12 Nepali men killed by Iraqi insurgents have filed a federal lawsuit accusing defense contractor KBR Inc. and a Jordanian subcontractor of human trafficking, saying the men were sent to work in Iraq against their will after being promised jobs in a posh hotel in Jordan.

The lawsuit filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court alleges the workers were being taken to work at a U.S. air base in Iraq in 2004 when insurgents intercepted their caravan and killed them days later. A Nepali worker whose car survived the attack is also a plaintiff; Buddi Prasad Gurung, now back in Nepal, claims he was forced to work at Al Asad Air Base as a warehouse loader for 15 months.

The 13 Nepali men were recruited by Daoud & Partners and other subcontractors with promises of work at an Amman hotel before their passports were taken and they were sent to Iraq, according to the lawsuit.

So Joe...

the two former law officers who claimed to have found big foot turned out to be fucking liars and frauds. The one held the same kind of job you used to hold, didn't he? I also hear they are both registered Republicans.

At any rate, how about that Sara Palin? What a fucking loser! An unwed teenage daughter, and a corruption scandal in the first week. Is this the best the Republican party has to offer?

How pathetic!

DUI Task Force

Post by lazarus »

Joe,

by the way...
I got caught in one of those huge DUI nets yesterday. Sorry for you, Joe... I don't drink, so all I lost was a little time.

The cops sure behaved like senseless jackasses, though... but not to me. I just smiled and waited patiently. After all, I haven't had a moving violation in nearly thirty years.

At one point, my wife, who drinks even less than I do, turned and asked:

"This is entrapment, isn't it honey?" "Of course it is", I replied... "of course it is!"

The Truth About Palin

Post by lazarus »

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin employed a lobbying firm to secure almost $27 million in federal earmarks for a town of 6,700 residents while she was its mayor, according to an analysis by an independent government watchdog group.

There was $500,000 for a youth shelter, $1.9 million for a transportation hub, $900,000 for sewer repairs, and $15 million for a rail project -- all intended to benefit Palin's town, Wasilla, located about 45 miles north of Anchorage.

In introducing Palin as his running mate on Friday, Sen. John McCain cast her as a compatriot in his battle against wasteful federal spending. McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, hailed Palin as a politician "with an outstanding reputation for standing up to special interests and entrenched bureaucracies -- someone who has fought against corruption and the failed policies of the past, someone who's stopped government from wasting taxpayers' money."

What a laugh riot!

The Republicans have gone from delusional, to disillusioned. Carl Rove, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have become punchlines.

Now they want to elect a senile warmonger whose married to an unethical beer baroness. And Palin? Visions of white trash running through the halls of Washington. So much for the party of family values.

Straight Talk Express Derails

Post by lazarus »

(Bloomburg)

As the relationship (with the media) has deteriorated, McCain has stopped hosting his once-famous ``straight talk'' get-togethers on his campaign plane. He also has abandoned regular press conferences.

Instead, he stops occasionally to read short written statements in front of cameras, like he did Aug. 31st in Jackson, Mississippi; then walks away from questions shouted by reporters.

His campaign plane is custom configured with a lounge area designed for hosting question-and-answer sessions with the press. McCain inaugurated the lounge on one of the plane's first flights and hasn't used it since.

Invitations for the press to visit the Straight Talk Express also have grown scarce. Local reporters are allowed the occasional visit, though journalists traveling with McCain no longer are invited to drop in. He hasn't held a news conference since Aug. 13.

(What a fraud McCain has proven to be... what a fucking fraud!)

Levi

Post by lazarus »

Achorage Daily News/MCT/Landov

Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin’s high school sweetheart, and father of her unborn baby may not be ready for fatherhood just yet.

Bristol, the 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is five-months pregnant.

Palin announced the pregnancy in a statement to Reuters on Monday. She also used the occasion to reveal Bristol and Levi’s marriage plans. She said, "Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family."

The New York Post reports that although Levi admits to being ‘in a relationship’ on his personal My Space page, the teen hockey player makes the candid revelation that he does not want to be a parent stating, “I don’t want kids.”

The teen also uses the site to talk openly about how he likes to spend his time. He boasts, "I'm a f - - -in' redneck who likes to snowboard and ride dirt bikes. But I live to play hockey. I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some s- - - and just f - - -in' chillin' I guess.”

He warns, “Ya f - - - with me I'll kick [your] ass."

AG

Post by lazarus »

(AP) While serving as attorney general, Alberto Gonzales mishandled top secret documents, risking the release of classified information about two of the Bush administration's most sensitive counterterrorism efforts - a surveillance program and detainee interrogations.

Mishandling classified materials violates Justice Department regulations and removing them from special secure facilities without proper authorization is a crime. But a report issued Tuesday by the Justice Department's inspector general says the agency decided not to press charges against Gonzales, who resigned under fire last year.

Full Retard

Post by lazarus »

Pip,

wow, dude...
the Republican Convention has been a disaster!

Thompson, who should have been a much stronger orator, struggled throughout his speech, choking, ans stuttering and stammering. His rhetoric was filled with the kind of make believe scenarios one associates with the movies... like who would win a fight between Batman and Rocky Balboa.

And then there was the jingoistic, nationalism that sounded much more like Hitler than Thomas Jefferson.

Honestly, all and all, I think they've gone full retard, if you don't mind me saying so.

Shitbags and Warmongers

Post by lazarus »

(Michael Gerson)

The idea that George W. Bush is too busy to speak at the convention, or that the planners couldn't figure out a way to squeeze him in, is transparently absurd. It must be a deep humiliation for him. The Obama convention's gibes about McCain representing four years of Bush must really have hit home.

(P.S., how could he give a political speech from the White House? When I worked for Bill Clinton, we would have faced a special prosecutor for that.)

Yep...
I noticed that too!
Bush again violated established law. His administration has no respect for the law. They are all shitbags like Joe.

Fortunately, Biden has stated that Bush and his cronies will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, when Obama become president.

Currently, Obama is up by ten points, considered by experts to be an insurmountable lead (which explains why McCain has adopted such a negative attitude.)

Meanwhile, a quarter of all Americans polled say George W. Bush is the worst president in US history. Indeed, he is!

more from the scumbucket brigade....

BAKU, Azerbaijan - Vice President Dick Cheney assured Azerbaijan on Wednesday of America's "abiding interest" in the region's stability. It was his first stop on a tour of three ex-Soviet republics that are wary of Russia's intentions after its war with Georgia last month.

Russia was warily eyeing the trip, and a top Russian security official accused Cheney of an ulterior motive: seeking to secure energy supplies in the South Caucasus in exchange for U.S. support.

Cheney met with U.S. Embassy officials and international oil executives before going to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev's residence "

hell, these fools invaded iraq to get oil...now the lame ducks are starting a war with russia...
interesting how even invasion did not divert oil to the U.S. market.

Pip,
I knew I wasn't imagining what I was seeing. Check out this story that is still breaking as I write. This is no joke:

ABCNEWS

It seems that Republicans Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy were caught in a bit of unguarded conversation today and someone posted the moment to YouTube. Watch the clip HERE.

Noonan, a former speechwriter to Ronald Reagan and a Wall Street Journal columnist, and Murphy, a longtime GOP campaign strategist, had been guests on MSNBC when host Chuck Todd breaks for a commercial. The camera cuts to a wideshot, but the audio continues for another couple of minutes, as the GOPers debate the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s running mate, including:

Murphy: It's not going to work.

Noonan: It's over.

Murphy: But still McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good.

Todd: I think this was insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson... She’s never looked comfortable with this.

Murphy: they’re all bummed out

Todd: I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Noonan: The most qualified? No. I would think they went for the, excuse me, political bulls**t about narratives...

Noonan: Every time Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it.

Murphy: You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.

I don't know what to add. I'm speechless.

Post by lazarus »

Joe,
first of all, I was suggesting the Republicans have committed political suicide, but then, it's not unusual for you to attempt to twist the truth.

Of course, there is no chance of me placing the barrel of a gun in my mouth... I think guns are for losers like you.

Sara Palin proved she could deliver a speech written by speech writers. Maybe she could get her own sitcom, or host a telethon, but us Democrats are not at all scared of her political savvy. She has none. Her attacks reminded me of pro wrestling. ( I bet you believe that crap too, don't you Joe)

But you just keep talking stupid shit, because that's all you know how to do. You are just an ignorant old man with no life and no common sense.

Joe, the rodeo clown,

by the way...

I'm sure everyone who visits this forum would agree that you taking cheap shots at others from the safety of your 'Moderated Forum' where others can't participate without sharing their ip addresses is an extreme act of cowardice. How very cowardly of you.

As I have repeatedly stated, you are indeed, a pathetic, delusional little coward.

Gosh,

Joe get's to edit his own remarks over in his 'Moderated Forum'?

That allows him to make smarmy remarks, and then delete them later, as if he never wrote them? How democratic!

The rest of us have to accept that our remarks are not retractable. We have to stand by our words. Joe, on the other hand, is above the rules. He does whatever he wants. Just why in God's green Earth was Joe ever given his own forum, allowing him to see everyone's ip addresses?

How very inappropriate.
