This post is directed to Newjerseyman, concerning camping near water holes.
NJM, the point of that "restriction" is that the local wildlife depends on those water holes. Camping too near a sole source of water will keep them from coming for a drink. It's only polite to be a considerate guest in what is, after all, their home.
So, there's no one locking and loading out there, waiting to keep you from camping by water. We don't do it because we have to. We do it because it's right.
