Joe is right...
don't let the First Amendment Forum taint your view of Joe or the rendezvous. Joe (and the others) have worked hard to make this event a success, and it has grown bigger and better every year.
And yes, Gloria and I have always enjoyed visiting Joe's camp, which is a great place to hear a good story or learn something new about the legend. Joe and I may fight like dogs here, but that is not what the rendezvous is about. Neither one of us would want to tarnish anyone's weekend.
In spite of what we both may say to the contrary, if Joe called me at four in the morning and said he was broken down two hundred miles from my house, I'd be on my way to help in a matter of minutes. That's a fact.
Those that find that hard to believe... get over it.
Brad
Say it ain't so, Joe.

I don't doubt that for a second, as would I if the situation were reversed.

Dogs.....
Steve,
I would check with Wayne or Randy, but I believe you can bring your dog.
I would guess it wold need to be on a leash, and you would have to clean up after it.
We love dogs.
Take care,
Joe

GOP Collapse?
(CNN) – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell painted a downright dismal view of the state of his party Thursday afternoon, telling Republican National Committee members the GOP is in grave danger of being marginalized to a regional party.
"We’re all concerned about the fact that the very wealthy and the very poor, the most and least educated, and a majority of minority voters, seem to have more or less stopped paying attention to us," the Kentucky Republican said on the second day of the four-day gathering.
"And we should be concerned that, as a result of all this, the Republican Party seems to be slipping into a position of being more of a regional party than a national one.
"In politics there's a name for a regional party, it's called a minority party," said McConnell.
That's what happens when you screw the pooch.

ok i'll play this silly game...my leg hurts and i'm grumpie.
it is my belief as a historian...that a healthy society needs a strong conservative core...and the freedom to allow liberals the rights necessary to explore new things...
on the other hand...conservatives would still be pulling shirts over their heads and wearing slip on shoes if liberals hadn't invented the button and lace.

You guys are still at it!
So the cycle turned and the dems are in control. Yet you guys are still at it!
"conservatives would still be pulling shirts over their heads and wearing slip on shoes if liberals hadn't invented the button and lace."
Guess you forgot about President Lincoln! Do some people actually believe you as you make shit up as you go along?
Have you forgot about the DNC appoligizing for KILLING hundreds of blacks in a small southern town. (No, they didn't help the decendants of the slaughtered mass. But they did appoligize!!) Why didn't any of you libs answer that one a year ago??
What can I say....I got bored! I'm ready to put you folks in your place again....until I get bored by blowing you up and leave. Facts always screw you asshats up!

What Happened?
Come on!
You liberal asshats can't possibly be in rehab at the same time, or are you? I thought you folks took turns in the tank?
Let's discuss the latest from Obama.
I'm really curious as to your thoughts about being a "warmonger" now that Obama is doing the exact same thing that Bush did. Since the worm has turned stand up and face it. Or can't you?
You folks are bitches!!!

So now we are on page fifty-two of the attack Joe because he has conservative belief's thread.
But throughout the first 51 pages a Republician was the President. The attacks on Joe and those like minded for vicious and relentless. They useually involved multiple asshats attacking.
Page fifty-two finds a socialist in power as President. A socialist with no experience beyond diversity lawyer, community activist, state legislator in the most liberal of states, and lame duck as federal legislator. So his experience encomasses bitching about precieved wrongs.
So here we are on page fifty-two. This President is trying to learn on the job and the asshats here have disappeared simply because you know you voted in another asshat like yourselves. If asshats have to actually produce results and not just bitch and complain they fail. You guys are a bunch of pusses.

Looking For The LDM????
Is this the LDM, or were they just joking? I vote for Joking:
It's a short climb up from the road and doesn't actually require more than a bottle of water and a bag of peanuts, even for an out of shape, old goat like me. That's not to say that it couldn't be the LDM, but it's not even in the Superstitions......or even close.
There may be gold in the area, but it hasn't been found.....yet.
What I am saying here, is that there are many people who find old prospect holes and immediately start finding horse heads, military trails and all kinds of LDM clues. It helps to keep a clear head on these kinds of things, and look at your find from an objective view. If the first thing you do, is sit down and have a few beers, or smoke a joint, it won't take much to convince you that you are filthy rich.
This particular area has been prospected with a fine tooth comb. Not for gold, but barite. In fact there is a very old, defunct, barite mine just below it. There is also a dozer road that has been cut to within a few hundred feet of the prospect. That did not seem to give the "finders" a seconds pause.....It was the LDM, for sure.
Actually there are two dozer roads from opposite sides of the bluff. They then cut a path across the top of the bluff almost directly to the prospect hole.
If you find something like this, that you think is the LDM, for God's sake don't advertise it. Your first clue, IMHO, will be if it's miles from the Superstitions. Clue II, will be if there's not a sniff of gold around.

Pleasant Conversation.....
pip,
I know you have always believed there was some kind of connection between Joe and myself, but that's only a fantasy you have created in your own mind. Joe is his own man, just as I am my own man. I don't do your bidding and he doesn't do mine. If you want to quit or run away again, it's something you will have to do all on your own.
You and Brad both have this thing about building a make believe portfolio of expertise. You both have a lot to offer, but that's not enough for either one of you. When someone calls bullshit, you both become insulted and resort to name calling. That may work on the playground, but it's a waste of time in the real world.
When you write a stupid statement about Pangaea, something a first year archaeology student would laugh at, rather than admit your mistake, you run away from your statement. Running away is something you do well, isn't it?
For Christ's sake, quit your constant whining and get a backbone. If you have something to offer to the conversations, stand up and give it your best. Don't expect everyone to bow down and worship every word you write. If you're right, collect the evidence to back up your statement and bring it into the debate.
I don't expect you to take this well, but I have been wrong before. Making a dramatic request that I have Joe remove your account, something I have absolutely no power to do, shows a feeble attempt to make both of us look bad. If you want to run away, just quit posting and stop making a fool of yourself.
If you stop your personal attacks, no matter how oblique, and stick to the topics and facts, we will have no further problems.
Good luck,
Joe Ribaudo

ok you ignorant fuck...
my comment about Pangaea was in the same context as the topic on the other thread...and unlike your self righteous claims about Jesuit gold, Spanish treasure monuments, i base my theory on facts.
and unlike your ignorant and self righteous claims as the sole knowledge base on earth, archaeologist unearth fossils pushing back the date on hominid presence on earth less than a week after my post.
where does academia support the bizarre and self righteous theories you claim to be the expert in?
so fuck off joe..it is always someone else's' fault in your world...
how many good educated people have you run out of forums, only because they don't kiss your stinkin ass.
again..fuck off.
and i never mistook you for the fuckhead that allows you to continue with behaviors that led this site to be abandoned...

More Of The Same.......
pip,
Each and every time I have tried to offer another direction for our discussions, you come back with the same lame curses. Trying to reason with someone like you is a hopeless cause and not worth the effort.
I have managed to get along quuite well with most of the members here, and on other sites, without getting the foul responses that you write on a regular basis. Your curses reflect the low level of your intelligence to anyone with an IQ above 50.
As for Pangaea, your comments were not taken out of context. Your sources for your knowledge on the subject, which you kindly provided, were a website for children, and NASA's site showing a map of Pangaea.
Neither site gave any support to your unrealistic theory that people were living there 200,000,000 years ago.
You can spin that any way you like, but the fact that you visit children's sites for your research, speaks volumes for the level of your mental capabilities.
I can discuss archaeological topics with, almost, anyone. That would not include you, because I don't visit the same sources for my knowledge.
Thanks for your reply,
Joe Ribaudo

Since no one knows the age of creation, and we do know Pangaea existed, why is it necessary to identify an imaginary migration, as the physical reality could be people were here at the time the continent of Pangaea split into what we now live upon.

I realize my input is not desired...alternative opinions based on fact is not often accepted.
Take care...

pip,
"as the physical reality could be people were here at the time the continent of Pangaea split into what we now live upon."
Thanks for providing us with your "physical reality". It paints a very clear picture.
