My Willow Springs/Ruth article

Post by djui5 »

I had hosted this article on Peter's not defunked forum. count was kind enough to let me host the article here in it's entirety as I had intended to host it on Peter's site. The article is still the same, just changed the picture layout a bit. Anyway, thanks to count for putting up with my issues getting it online, and for allowing me to host it here. If anyone would ever like to read it again you can find it at this location:

Randy,

Glad you were able to save your article on Adolph Ruth!! Thanks for posting it on the Forum and making it available to us again. I reread it and it's a great read - especially the sections about where and how Ruth died. Think this part of the legend has steered a lot of people to the wrong area for many years.

Randy,

I had printed out your article, but was glad to see it reposted. It's well written and interesting to read. Nothing like the "Hell I Was There" accounts. :)

See you at the Rendezvous.

Take care,

Joe

Randy,

Meant to mention that my uncle, brother and I took that same trail the year we found the two monuments on the ridge. Each of our backpacks were around 70#s. Juno carried his own pack with his food in it. :)

That trip was one hell of a (short) adventure, topped off by finding the monuments and descending off the ridge, directly into our Willow Spring camp........in the dark. 8O

Man, that was a long time ago.

Take care,

Joe

I was just thinking about reminding you to do this and it appeared!

Wayne,

Maybe the two of you have just spent to much time together in cramped,
dark places. 8O

Wayne,
I've been trying to get this up for a couple weeks. Count was working on fixing the issue for me which is part of why the forum was upgraded. He finally figured out what issue I was having and everything is great now. Hopefully I can start writing more articles now that I have a "home" for them. Huge thanks again to count for all his help, it's greatly appreciated!

Hope everyone takes the time to read it again, I really liked that story and hated to miss that trip. Maybe it was because there were no cramped and dark spaces involved?
