Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Mike: Other than what we both have been able to see, regarding the Pit mine and the Heat dig, and the brief exchange I had with the facebooker about the cache in Rogers Canyon, I have nothing more than my own reasoning to go on. I've been following both stories as they have evolved over the past 3 o...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Paul: Was there any sign of the use of heavy equipment at either location. Ruts or other damage to the surroundings ? Newer growth replacing older....etc. ? That's something hard to hide, even after a number of years has passed, and something the USFS would have immediately recognized IMHO. Looking ...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Mike:

The problem I see in your idea is the well documented amount of work that was required to excavate and open the HEAT site. How long would it have taken, and how large a crew would have been needed to accomplish what you suggest ?

Re: Surely Obama will have something to say about this right

The question of a presidential candidate's eligibility for office, based on birthplace, is nothing new. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/05/01/AR2008050103224.html Then again "birtherism" seems to be a popular topic in some circles, even to the extent of asking ......

Joe: True. IF they HAD been found on their own property ! But to make such a claim this late in the game,on top of other recent claims by family members, does seem to suggest a trend toward historical revisionism. What about all that previous, well documented testimony from those who knew Travis, and s...

Roy: I am familiar with the history of the copper scroll,as well as that of the other dead sea scrolls. Why would Barry Storm,or even Travis Tumlinson create such a set of maps....then fail to make them public for money or fame. Randy: The red stone is only about 5" in diameter, from 5/8 to 1 1/2" thick, and the hole is slightly larger than 1/2 inch . Looks to be about the same size as the three holes in the upper Trail Map. Big enough for a firecracker I guess. But that's about it.I looked, but couldn't find anything...

Re: THE GENUINE STONE MAPS

My opinion would be that you are on the right path and you need to follow the dots on the trail line to the left of the symbols. They're just there to assure you that the trail you are on is correct. They do.But it seems a case of overkill, when only two matching markings would do the same. There is...

Some documentation exists for Peralta owned mines in the Bradshaws, but none for any Spanish/Mexican mines in the Superstitions.Only stories,as with the LDM, or legends based on those stories.
