Cuzzin jack...... until 1880s photography was only for the very rich or for professional photographers or companies as far as im aware..it only changed when eastmans /kodak produced their camera that didnt need constant change of plates etc,and at a price most or many could afford.so going back to 1...

if all the nonsense that was once believed ,but now known to be lies added to make the story seem more exciting, had never been included ,and the legend had been reduced to the "bare bones"of what we "know" to be probabley true.....would any of us have been the least bit interest...

Potbelly Jim, i guess id just have to say i cant agree with the opinion that blame should be witheld from H.C regarding the innacuracies in her book .After all she was the author and plainly didnt check the facts she was given ,we arent talking about a little slip such as being a couple of years out...

practically the only thing i recall from helens corbin's book is her rather odd statement that "apache indians NEVER ever lied"..im afraid that did it for me ,i tossed the book in the garbage 10 seconds later, and for all i know (or care) it might remain there still. in my opinion her book...
