Re: NEW Jacob Waltz Information

Joe, I saw that, and thank those folks for me. The funny thing is that nobody probably got to see the post that got me banned (till May 13th). Since Bill answered your post and mentioned me (although misspelled), I decided to answer him. I told TH that he couldn't have been more mistaken about Bill,...

NEW Jacob Waltz Information

Not really. I just can't believe that this forum has so completely died out. I regularly look in on this forum because this was the go-to LDM Forum for many years. Every other forum that has an LDM Area is only just starting what this forum did many years ago. Granted, if a person takes the time to ...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Joe,

What I meant in that post was that the people involved in the Pit Mine/Silver Chief excavation were probably the very same people involved with the HEAT Dig. That was why I mentioned the Videographer and Archaeologist.

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

I know this is old, but in rereading this thread I wanted to make mention of something: Donald, Maybe you didn't get to document this discovery, but I bet people like Feldman and Schoose would NEVER let something like this stay under the table forever. Take a look at the H.E.A.T. Crew: http://dutchh...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Joe, Do you remember what year it was when the situation with the checks happened? The reason I ask is because if the checks came in around 1998-2000, then it was likely Chuck Kenworthy's money. If they came in around 2004-2006, then the money probably came from the sale of whatever they "suppo...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Hey Wayne, The 1999 crew would not have had to be any larger than the crew for the HEAT Dig. Get my drift? Same folks five years later. EVERYBODY has a vested interest in keeping the secret. Say they dug up a fortune in 1999. How does someone who earns a meager living in the Supers, one day show up ...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

I don't know Joe. Three years is a long time to dig out a cache. With a good group of diggers, they could have emptied that pit out in less than a year. I think it took three years because they were mining ore. Now, I would say that the Rogers Spring HEAT Site would be the perfect place to stash gol...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Like I said, my knowledge of both sites is somewhat limited having personally visited neither one. I knew the location of the "Pit Mine" but not the HEAT Site.As for that one, I could only go by what they said on dutchhunter.com. Thanks Joe, I know you said it wasn't so, but one thing keep...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

also,

If they filed a new claim on an exsiting mine, and could show that it was the LDM, then they could get the fame (as well as money).

Unless they had an interest in keeping the L in the LDM!?!

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

I like it other than: Why do the Treasure Trove Permit hassle, when everything was already sold, and the HEAT Site was known to be simply a caved in spring? If there were a new vein, in an existing mine, they wouldn't need a treasure trove permit. Law states that if a new vein is found in an existin...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Mike, Forgot to ask........"In 1958, bullion was found in what is now called the "main drift." There is also a left drift that Cox never excavated, but believed it, too, contained bullion." Have you seen any evidence or documentation that would support that claim? I saw the same...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Cubby, Actually, you made my point for me. If there WAS NOTHING at the HEAT Site, then that would be a great way to legitimize anything they dug up several years earlier at the "Pit Mine" Site. Say you have all this gold from an illegal dig. You have to hide the sale from Uncle Obama (not ...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Hey Buddy, That is not right at all. If it was just a collapsed spring, then why would the GSA/USFS grant them a Treasure Trove Permit? In 1958, bullion was found in what is now called the "main drift." There is also a left drift that Cox never excavated, but believed it, too, contained bu...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

.............. and if that is the case, then I still think the LDM is STILL lost. Waltz spent WAAAAAY too much time time talking about his "MINE" to Reinhart and Julia. To my way of thinking, even if many of the old timers made up the majority of the clues in existence, to keep outsiders l...

Re: LOST OR.....FOUND?

Thanks Joe, I thought there seemed to be too many similarities between the two to be a mere coincidence! Thanks very much Joe. It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife. I knew you were a good guy all along (if not opinionated as are we all LOL). I was referring to Garry's evolution of people involved with the Pit Mine (Mr. W, Mr. X, Mr. Y). MrW being the man that originally worked the mine many year...

Re: THE GENUINE STONE MAPS

as far as the Tumlinson family's keeping mum until lately, I think you should reread Azmula's Article VERY carefully, and you may get an inkling of an idea. It is also possible they were just tired of treasure hunters hounding them every time someone traced Travis' Roots. Think myself, Garry, and La...

Re: Chuck Kenworthy Info Based Monument Trail

Roy, They are indeed Spanish. I know this for several reasons. The main reason I know they are Spanish in origin is the entire reason for this post. Many of the monuments in this series were straight out of Chuck Kenworthy's Book " Spanish Monuments and Trailmarkers to Treasure in the United St...
