Re: Travis Tumlinson and the Stone Maps
Garry, Going back through my correspondences, my source just asked that I not reveal her contact information, or how I found her, so that I will not do, but I will say now that my source is/was Janie Tumlinson. Our conversation happened about two months ago. That is how I found out about what type o...

Re: Travis Tumlinson and the Stone Maps
Also,
I am glad that you support Garry's Research as much as I do, but you did not address any of the questions I asked. If a person is to believe that Travis Tumlinson hoaxed the stone maps, then those questions need to answered. Wouldn't you agree?

Re: Travis Tumlinson and the Stone Maps
Joe, I have still never put any real effort into solving the stone maps. If I lived closer, then maybe I would have, but there are a lot of deserts and mountains between here and there. LOL I didn't really need the speech because I have absolute faith in that if Garry says it was said to him, then i...

Re: Travis Tumlinson and the Stone Maps
Okay, Here are some excerpts from a conversation of about two months ago: [You] Report · 1:15am Absolutely. There are a lot of people that claim that the stone maps are a hoax and Travis was part of it. I have always said that a person's actions speak volumes, and Travis' actions were not those of s...

Re: Travis Tumlinson and the Stone Maps
Garry, Your research is always above reproach, BUUUUUUT, as the President said to the General in the movie "The Fifth Element" : "I HAVE A DOUBT." Janie was very young when her dad passed away in 1961. Even much younger when he was actively pursuing the stone maps. I have a very ...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Joe, As I have said many times before, I don't think anybody will ever find the DLM based on ANY book (no matter how accurate or inaccurate). My bet is (as always) on some tree hugging nature lover who will be out to get a good pic of some natural feature, when his leg drops through the roof of the ...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Hello Mike Could you cite the references for the evidence in the existance of Waltz nephew? In my opinion the Holmes manuscript is weak and Sims Ely's account is weaker still. Best Regards Alan Alan I think you have it bassackwards if you think for a second that the Holmes Manuscript is even slight...

Re: LDM, What are we really looking for?
Randy, I am not certain about typical gold values for AZ, but there are some places in Ca (Feather River for one) where raw nuggets are almost 100% pure. Mostly in SoCal it runs about 70% gold, 15% silver, 10% copper, and 5% other. Also, we can't work the problem of how the pit was discovered like a...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Oh, and since the whole manifest fiasco, I have to admit that technically, there is just as much hard evidence for the existence of a nephew Jacob Weiss (Weiser) as there is for a partner/friend Jacob Weiser. I still tend to lean towards the Sims Ely version. He seemed to place some importance to th...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Garry, I put what stock I do in Sims Ely's Book simply because his is a personal narrative that was closer to the subject than anything else out there. Most everything else out there draws from his book or flies in the face of it. If we had something like it that was admitted to be from Dick Holmes,...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Garry, I just got home and verified my previous statement. In Sims Ely's "The Lost Dutchman Mine" on pages 46-47: Thereupon I closed the office door firmly, we lighted fresh cigars, and Tom Weedin told, while I (Sims Ely) listened with rapt attention, the story of Jacob Weiser's fate. Best...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Gee Paul, you could have at least have corrected my spelling of Dannemann! You will notice that in Corbin’s manifest, many of the immigrants were from Horb Wurttemberg and Nagold, Wurttemberg. Waltz was supposedly from Horb and Nagold??. I believe all of these entries were in support of the Waltz o...

I am with Joe here. I have to move from here to find what other stories and "facts" I now have to question, and how/if they affect any theories I have formed.
A crappy situation indeed. Everybody say Thank You to the nice man that made all this possible! LOL

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Garry, The passengers in the manifest in Corbin's Book were taken from more than one actual manifest in the ISTG Archives. What Paul found was one of the sources the hoaxster used to get blocks of data. The way the hoaxster played with the information makes it so you can't use last names for compari...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
The closest individual match I saw at a glance was: 1. Elise Muller (ISTG) / Elise Mueller (Book Manifest) The blocks of names from cities were reversed and the last names changed. Just enough work so that individual duplicate names could not be found using the search engine on the website, but a cl...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Just another nail in the coffin here. I had rightly assumed that if HC or "he who must not be named" had already gotten that manifest from the ISTG, that the ISTG would have a record of it, and a copy should be readily available. So, I wrote an email to the number two person at ISTG and th...

While it is always more fun and exciting to conclusively prove what you like, but it is equally (if not more) important to disprove frauds. Think how much time, resources, and money was wasted on Baron Reavis. I don't think any expeditions were launched on account of this person's documents, but loo...

Re: Helen Corbin's Olbers Manifest
Joe, Carrying this on from Tom Glover's post. I did not ...

Hey Joe, maybe this conversation would be better added to the old thread instead of hijacking Dr Glover's thread which has very little to do with this.
