I have been waiting for someone else to do this but since no one has, I feel an obligation to Jan’s family and the members that genuinely feel a loss in Jan’s absence to do so. Although I never met Jan in person, I corresponded with her via e-mail, telephone conversations and the U.S. Mail on severa...

Subject: FiFi

FIFI The train was quite crowded, so the U. S. Marine walked its entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well-dressed middle-aged French woman's poodle. The war-weary Marine asked, "Ma'am, may I have that seat?" The French woman just sniffed and said to no o...

TGH

There doesn't seem to be any question as to whether or not Holmes talked to Waltz on his deathbed. The questions are... Did Waltz know who he was talking to, and is that conversation accurately transcribed in the Holmes manuscript?

TGH, Hmmmmmmmmm. That would be a reasonable explaination. I am learning that the name Peralta was a well known name in mining during Waltz's time. It is possible that Waltz just used the name with a made up story for J/R as you suggest to soften it up. That being the case, J/R wouldn't have lied abo...

Zentull, Your post is very thought inspiring and timely for I am currently in the process of comparing the Holmes Maunscript with Sims Ely's Book. Just going by what I have read preciously on this site, I am sure that some people would disagree with you about whether or not Waltz actually knew any P...

TGH, "You left off Tortilla Mtn. Some folks think the LDM is up there. They might be right....certainly is higher up and further away...." How long do you think it took Brownie Holmes to beat feet up on top of Tortilla Mt. after that episode was over? Or do you believe that the same thing ...

TGH, "Those that know...know" Anybody that "KNOWS" without having seen the gold in the hole, knows "NOTHING". They are still working on theories and ideas. Compared to many on this website, I am new to Arizona and the whole LDM thing, but I have been around Colorado and...

TGH, "Yup" Can we expect to be seeing some photos of your ore samples from the mine anytime soon? "Doesnt matter, same mtn" I guess that verifies it! I know this is a little off the subject, but I have this 40 acres of ocean front property in northern Arizona that I have been sav...

TGH, "Folks, if you think the LDM is on Black Top or in its vicinity, then you fail Dutch Hunting 101" Wouldn't one have to positively know where the LDM is before he could positively say where it isn't? "Like the fellow told Brownie.."its higher up and further away"...........

Joe You seem to be referring to my posts that are left in the forums and ignoring my initial posts that no longer exist in the Cursum Perficio forum. I believe there are a good number of people on this site that saw my initial posts in the now defunct Cursum Perficio forum that can see right through...

Thank You for proving my point made earlier

Joe I see you couldn’t pass up an opportunity to dung up another topic with your personal opinions of other members of the forum instead of providing any enlightening information on the subject. I could not reference a better post that would serve as an example of my previous explanation of how some...

Cursum Perficio

Jan, I am very happy to find this website. I have been doing google searches for "Cursum Perficio" for many years in hopes of finding information on this map. I never knew it was originally carved on a boulder before reading you article here. The copy I have is on paper, very old and almos...
