The above is what looks like a PDF file that might be used in our schools to educate children on the LDM....courtesy of the Mineral Information Institute (whatever that is). Its long on legend and short on fact (uses Storm as a reference), but for you LDM buffs, its something to look at.
What's really weird is there is another article about a gold mine in NC..a mine found in 1799. The article says the fellow who found the mine was a boy named Conrad Reed. Conrad's father's name was JOHN Reed (no not THAT John Reed). Still it is kinda strange. Where's Charles Fort when we need him?
