Drei rot Hugels

Post by count »

Hello folks,

Just trying to stir the pot a bit here and see if we cant get a give/take discussion going.

Pardon my German. "Drei rot Hugels" loosley translated means "three red hills". Waltz supposedly said "if you pass the three red hills you have gone too far".

Of course, we do not know which direction he was talking about travelling from..... South? North? Who knows. We do not even know if he meant the three red hills popularly beleived to relate to the clue: that is, the hills north of Bluff Spring Mountain, west of Marsh Valley and East of Black Mesa.

Waltz may also have not used the word Hugel (hill). He may have used the word Hugelchen which means a small hill, knob, knoll or hillock. If thats the case, then the three red hills that most folks think Waltz was refering to may not be the correct hills at all.

Problem with this subject doesnt seem to be the lack of clues, but the WEALTH
(and seeming ambiguity) of the clues that are out there....

Peter
