Randolfo Wright

Post by zentull »

By the way Randy did make his return to the mountains recently and survived.

It was nice to have him back out there even though he was an hour late and had to jog to catch up!!!

After grabbing some specimins at a mine and working his way down the dump, Randy took a spill and needed carried out............There is no way you could even make this stuff up, I am getting him a bubble wrap suit for future hikes!

The Damage?
He broke the bone that connects the foot to the leg, and the small leg bone just below the knee cap. He will be in a splint for a few days then they will put a cast on.

And by the way, I was nowhere nearby.........so I am not the source of the Rando Curse.

Well Randy said they got the splint off and now he is in a cast. Lucky he didn't end up with pins......guess his hiking season ended just as he got started.

Maybe not. He might get in some light hikes at the beginning of Summer. I was in a motorcycle accident on New Year's Eve (Broken ankle, four broken ribs, collapsed lung, and broken collar bone). I was in a cast from toes to crotch for only two and a half months (ONLY!?!). My Fibula was broken too (just the opposite end from Randy).

The worst part is going to be rebuilding the muscle after it has all atrophied. My right leg looked like my right arm. I still haven't gotten all of the muscle back.

I'm in a walking boot now. My leg is about as skinny as my arm like yours was Mike. It's gonna take a while to get that muscle back. So far it's healing well.
