Discuss information about the Lost Dutchman Mine

Is it a real Spanish Carved Rock Monument and part of the Peralta Horse Map?

Is it just another old natural rock formation?

Remember you do not eat dutch hunters anymore only aliens or the black legion.

hahaha!!

Good luck and please be cautious. Take your time and think clearly. It will still be there, however you utilize your patience and time.
Thanks zentull.

The Horse Stone Map

Post by Roger »

My personal opinion is that the Horse stone map is not a physical thing you will find in the field. It is a heavily encoded set of instructions/directions that are the final steps to locate the mine after you arrive in the general area by following the coded information on the 2 trail maps and the Priest map. The Horse map code provides a number of distances and directions that must be followed in order to arrive at the mine.

Mr. Kelso, Please add my name to the " Barred For Life List " before all others. I don't believe you will get many takers.

stone

Greetings,
It is tough to tell from a photo if this is carved by man or nature. Just an opinion here but I would say this is an interesting yardang - natural formation. Any other evidence to suggest it is not natural?

rock formations

Post by Oroblanco »

Greetings,

Whether this strange stone is a natural formation or carved by the hand of man really would not make too much difference for a treasure hunter - for if it is a natural formation, why would it not be useful as a 'marker' for the Spaniards or anyone else? So if it is natural, it can still be a direct link to the 'horse' stone of the Peralta stones. A stone does not have to be carved to be useful as a marker.
