Original Clues
With all the "clues" floating around today that are supposed to be right from Waltz's lips-you know-"sun shines into the mine at such & such time, shadow of Weavers needle" etc. is there a generally accepted list of clues before all the later writers got ahold of the story & started adding to them :?: :?: Thanks.

Good Clues
RU,
There is a very well accepted "list" of Dutchman clues.
The clues that point to where you are searching, are on that list, and they are very reliable.
My own personal favorite "best clue" is the "Waltz was a cross dresser" story. I know this is true, because I once found a lady's shoe on the road to First Water. Let's see if Peter or Bill can top that one on there Salt River Trail(s).
Sorry Dr. Glover, see what you started.
Respectfully,
Joe

Anarchy
Wiz,
I think I may have mentioned the cure for this foolishness a while back.
The results of that suggestion was my own forum.
Some amount of control is required to keep someone who is insane from making a shambles of your site. Not censorship, but some degree of housekeeping. For there to be censorship, Wyatt would first have to say something.

WIZ- BTT means back to top-it's a way to get a post back to the top of the list(so hopefully I can get a serious answer to my question!) I thought it was a pretty good question-not trying to pry any secret clues out of anybody-just wondering which clues dated from the Dutchman's time and which were added on later by all the writers and Dutch hunters-but for some reason that I don't fathom I haven't received even one serious reply, just a bunch of strange answers. Oh well.

Clues
Sorry RU, thought you were "kidding".
"The Sterling Legend: Story of The LDM" by, Estee Conaster is full of chapters which are constructed along the lines of, "a list of clues". It is 94 pages in paper back and can be purchased for around ten bucks.
Most authors, somewhere in their books, have a short list of favorite clues. Almost every clue in existence is said to have come "from the Dutchman's time". All have a "reliable" source.
It would appear that there is no universally accepted list of viable clues.
That's to be expected in this type of legend.
