covering mines

Post by bill711 »

Pete; I know its hard to imagine where or why a bridge would be needed but remember alot has happened since then. You had the flood of 91/2. We had the flood of 1986 on the Arkansas river; Beleive me a lot can change after these types of floods. When you get back for a look you will find bare ground in places where you had big rock, 30 to 50 foot bank,s of sand in some area,s things just change so much they don,t look the same. This info was nothing that she stressed or anything, It was just a little bit at the end of there journey. bill it,s just for what it,s worth...

Hit the trail

Wow! The weather is great. The heavy rain always cleans years of debris from the slopes. The poppies are blazing orange and snakes are hungry.
Spring time and water falls off of iron mountain.I will be scraping around.
Keep an eye out for oddities.
