Lucille and Floyd Stone Correspondence with Bernice McGee

Post by novice »

I finally got around to adding the correspondence between Bernice McGee and Lucille Stone to The Lost Dutchman Mine Documents Web Page. It is located in the Peralta/McGee (McGee Collection) and is the third one down, Lucille Stone and Bernice McGee Correspondence (1963-1970)

Lucille Stone was the wife of Floyd “Stoney” Stone and they owned the Reavis Ranch. Bernice and Lucile corresponded for 7 years between 1963 and 1970.There are 15 letters included in the collection.

Many of their conversations involved domestic items but there are also references to several LDM and Superstition Mountain items.

There are references to the Peralta Stone Maps, Al Reser, Charlie Miller, Lucille’s history of the Reavis Ranch, place names in the Superstitions, etc.

If anyone has any thoughts, I hope you will share them.
