Psychics Find Lost Mine?

Post by buscar »

Peter Hurkos is considered by experts to have been the world's foremost psychic! Born Piervan der Hurk, May 21, 1911, in Dordrecht, Holland (died June1, 1988 in Los Angeles, CA), he acquired his psychic gift in 1941 after falling from a ladder. The fall knocked him unconscious for three days. He awoke in a local hospital having sustained a skull fracture and suffering a brain injury...he discovered he had developed an ability to pierce the barriers that separate the past, present and future.

Hurkos' forte was psychometry, the ability to see past-present-future associations by touching objects:

"I see pictures in my mind like a television screen. When I touch something, I can then tell what I see." - said Peter Hurkos.

Scientific tests proved he (Hurkos) was 85% accurate.

Peter Hurkos armed with psychic ability (Extra Superstition Power?), came to the area (Superstition Mountains of Arizona), to try his powers. A book entitled "Strange People" by Frank Edwards, even states that Hurkos use his God-given Gift to locate the famed Lost Dutchman mine.

In 1955, Edgar E. Cayce (the famous psychic?) made his claim around Weavers Needle in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona.

Cayce is said to have uttered prophecies, 90 percent accurate.

Well Folks, Edgar Cayce may have uttered prophecies, 90 percent accurate and Peter Hurkos, might have been correct 85% of the time, but, on the whole, I don't see any evidence of the LDM having been found by either Cayce or Hurkos, or any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power.

What’s your take on the subject?

Cayce

Post by Joe Ribaudo »

Buscar,

Good to hear from you again.

Never did any research on Hurkos, but looked into the Cayce story. Talked about in on the Treasure Net Forum. Here is part of what I wrote:

"As I said, "I could be wrong". With over 14000 readings in his lifetime, Cayce was bound to find a few acorns. Many people are cured.....by believing.

As for his reading on the Cactus Marker and the LDM, he was told everything except the condition of the terrain around the marker, and that showed his "reading" was not based on factual evidence he was seeing, unless his powers were lying to him.......Just a little joke.

If I believed he was a true prophet, I would not waste one moment getting out to Needle Canyon and following his very explicit directions. What about you and the others? Anyone making that hike yet? Best to see for yourself and not take a skeptics word for it.

While it may be true that Cayce did not charge folks for his readings, are you saying he did not make any money from the use of his "gift"?

Like you, I am not really a Dutch Hunter. Those who search for any kind of treasure in the Superstitions have always been lumped in with "Dutch Hunters". Having said that, I have never missed an opportunity to read everything I could about the LDM. For many years I have had a ravine marked on my Stone Map Topo, as the likely location of the LDM. I have never taken a step, not one, to search that ravine, but have suggested that others might want to check it out. As it turns out, there is a sealed mine up there.

Shirley Brown has also made hundreds of amazingly accurate statements. She also has her share of duds. One that comes to mind was about a missing child. She told the mother that he was dead and the way he died was not something she should hear. She did go into specific detail and described many events and landmarks. The boy turned up alive and well.

Throw enough S%*&# against the wall, and you might end up with a work of art.

Cayce's life and readings have generated hundreds of millions of dollars. There may be more than a few folks with a vested interest in protecting that golden calf. You may have to do a lot of searching to get beyond their efforts as......shills. The same can be said about the Stone Maps and the LDM."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a picture taken from, close to, the top of Black Top showing the area of the Cactus Marker. If you have a copy of Cayce's "reading" you know the terrain around it is nothing like what he describes.

Like you, I am a wee bit skeptical.

More On The Reading.....

Post by Joe Ribaudo »

Buscar,

Here is some of the actual reading:

"This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of February, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mr. [ 3638 ], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Coronet.
Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. [ 3638 ] and Harmon Bro.
Time: 4:30 to 4:45 P. M. Eastern War Time. TEXT

GC: (Gertrude Cayce) You will have before you [ 3638 ] present in this room, and his enquiring mind, together with the <<gold>> discovered by Pedro Peralta and later worked by Jacob Walz know as "The <<Dutchman>> ," in Pinal County, in the central portion of the State of Arizona. There you will find a high peak known as "La Sombrera" or "Weavers Needle". In Needle Canyon, a canyon running north from the base of the peak, you will find a large Saquaro cactus, marked, or that has been marked by four stones stuck into the trunk. From this marker, you will tell us exactly how far and in which direction to go to find the <<gold>> now known as "The <<Dutchman>> ," describing in detail all landmarks from this marker leading directly to the <<mine>> . You will then answer the questions, as I ask them:"

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Cayce was given all of the information concerning the location of the Cactus Marker by Gertrude Cayce who received the information from "Mr. [ 3638 ]". Cayce gave an "uninformed" description of the terrain, because he could not "see" it, and had never been there.

I was mistaken when I said that Cayce described the Stone Marker. Actually Gertrude gave the description which she got from [3638], who obviously had an interest in the LDM.

There were quite a few guys that used their Psychic abilities to find the LDM. Usually the skeptic sites include the bios of some of these guys.

I believe Doug Henning was another, though the psychic stuff wasn't his forte I would think.

Uri Geller found it as well I believe.

There is one more guy who said he found Atlantis, Diamond mines and oil too. Can't remember his name right now.

I said it before and will say it again, Cayce was known to snore while in his trances. According to my wife I must be very psychic.

Jean Dixon

Post by buscar »

Jean Dixon (1918-1997) was an astrologer, alleged psychic and writer.

Tracy L. Hawkins tells a story that took place a number of years ago, during the time he was escorting Jean Dixon, up the Bluff Spring Trail, when she suddenly became spooked and refused to go any farther. I do not have total recall as to why, she went into the Superstitions, perhaps, like Edgar Cayce, Peter Hurkos, and a whole host of others, she expected to use her psychic powers to find the LDM.

UFOs

Post by buscar »

It was during the '50s, '60s and '70s, numerous UFOs were sighted in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona, around Flat Iron and Bluff Spring Mountain, which is adjacent to the Circlestone Ruins. In 1973, two campers (no names mentioned), reported seeing a UFO land and then take off from the Circlestone area.

Perhaps, they too, were looking for the Dutchman’s gold.

djui5,

Project Blue Book was one of a series of systematic studies of Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) conducted by the United States Air Force (U.S.A.F.). Started in 1952, it was the second revival of such a study. A termination order was given for the study in December 1969, and all activity under its auspices ceased in January 1970.

If I remember correctly, in the section entitled “Dubious Research The Brothers from another Planet,” realized the coming event, and lost no time in beaming up Waltz’s golden treasure.

The lizard people are supposed to be connected to the UFOs as well. They have been busy it appears, because now there are claims of an underground transit system as well across the U.S.

The lizard people go back to some Hopi beliefs if I remember correctly.

Let us not forget Tex's little guys with the extra limbs either.

I believe Geller was the guy I thought I had forgotten. He has made gold through alchemy, discovered the Ark of the covenant, repaired satellites with his powers and has pinpointed gold and oil by waving his hands over a map of the area.

Must be nice to be so talented.

When I was working the superstitions in the mid 70's, We had several times where psychics came out to the areas we were working and "ran " the "lines". It seemed they were able answer the question we asked them about the area. I found out what training or counseling they used to gain the psychic ability. I then went and spent 3-4 years of training to learn how to tap my own ability. I did learn quite a bit and was able to control
certain aspect of my life and how to control others perceptions and to modify their behaviors to be advantageous to me.But to gain psychic ability never happened. My self and others set up many blind tests to gauge any abilities I fostered . I didn't get any increase above the normal base line unless i had advance knowledge of the task to be completed. But anyone could do that, I met and worked with over hundreds of people through those years but not one person "picked-up on " my Quest.
So I have been there and came out asking why i could not do it, Sadly I dont think it can done by anyone.---unless in the company of people who expect a certain result, then its easy to modify beliefs and provide results,

I do remember several people who zeroed in on a homicide. There info was key to solving the case, and not one of the people knew of the case of those involved. .
