I was wondering if anyone would bring up this subject. I noticed that the "maps" section of this web site allows people to post comments about each map, but so far I haven't seen any postings.

I agree with your comment on the limited usefulness of most of the maps. At best, they m...

LDM Maps in General

Since we have had good give and take on the Stone Maps, I thought I would shift gears a tad and ask opinions about what folks thought about LDM maps in general.
They seem to range from the humorous(Julia Thomas map)to the simple (Dick Holmes map) to the dramatic(Barry Storms Hidden Arroyo map) t...

When I removed the "the" from the address, that left me with this:

http://www.lostdutchmangoldmine.com/index.php?menu=1

which still didn't work. Once I got rid of all the stuff after ".com", it worked fine.

I just tried the new site address without the "the" and it worked. Perhaps whatever was in error before is now fixed.

Still can't find the page. Did you just eliminate "the"? No changes, case-sensitivity, anything like that?

I believe Mr Wilburn needs to do a bit more researching on the Peralta theme.

One source regarding a comment on the Stone Maps being generated by Reavis can be found on pg.28 of Wilburn's "Dutchman's Lost Ledge of Gold". He also claims the existence of the Peraltas and their mines was nothing more than a fabrication to support the scheme.

Azmula,

Forgive me if I did not make myself clear in what I said last. You are right, there is no where on the maps that refers to the Needle; there are certainly hearts depicted on the maps, most evident the heart insert and the place it fits into. As I said before ,coming from Florence t...

Hello Hiker,

That particular "D" on the Perfil Mapa (I assume you are talking about the symbol just below the arrow and the "squiggly line".....which is most likey a 50 varas symbol, btw") might also be an "A" without the leg down on the bottom right.
...

Why "God's map"? I never heard that name before.
Don't the six rectangles on the heart stone, when lined up with the "1" on the stone it fits into, make 1,000,000? I forget, does the heart fit in either way?
Also what about the dagger with the "D"? That "D&...

It seems to me if Reavis had created the maps as part of his scheme, he would have coughed them up at some point in the proceedings, or at least made reference to them. He did make reference to some documents he had tried to plant in Mexico, but which never made it there and were subsequently discov...

Hi Ron,

You are correct about the Moel Corp, A.L. Flagg Foundation link. There was some litigation involved and the court ordered that the Stone Maps be handed over to a non-profit, "mineral " oriented organization. As a result the A.L. Flagg Foundation received the maps. They in ...

Not to put a negative thought out there , but a different one. Did anyone hear that they may have been used originally as part of the Baron of Arizona's scheme? They certainly could of been planted to prove land grant possession in Arizona during that time. I spent a few years off and on following t...

I'm having a hard time following this but there has to be a point to this conversation as well as the maps themselves. Malapais from a certain angle does look like the wavy line on the stone slab. If the line is Malapais then the mine(s) are in the same vicinity as where Gassler, Ruth and others tho...

It has been mentioned that the wavy line on the lower stone slab/map to be different things. One interpretation is the Gila River. S.C.,
A tourist coming back from El Paso, et al, stopped north of Florence to look at the mountains and found some of the stones partially barried in the desert terrain. He came back the next year and found the remaining maps in the ground. A very good "story". After he died, about 6 y...
