Mr Roberts has refused to reply to PMs I have sent him in the past, when he first joined T-net.

Re: On the trail of Jack Swilling

I don't know what came first, the chicken or the egg. Period documents indicate Novinger was prospecting in the 4 Peaks area, was wounded pretty badly, taken to Ft McDowell, then lived out his days in Phx. Ely's version has Novinger heading from CA to Rich Hill based on accounts from an Indian capt...

Mr Roberts recently posted on another forum that he knew Walt Gassler and was his friend; Walt died in 1984. Does anyone here know when Mr Roberts arrived in Arizona, (the year is enough)? Thank you in advance.

Well perhaps you are right Joe about the horseback riding being a torture. However there are a number of different organizations that use horseback riding as a literal therapy for many disabling ailments, including paralysis. This is what I was referring to, not to simply clamber onto a jughead hors...

PS to Ronn - if you can not get into the Wilderness Area - not all is lost, for outside of the Wilderness area boundaries are some of the more highly mineralized areas anyway. It is entirely possible that the LDM is actually outside the Wilderness anyway. The story of Waltz leading his followers dee...

Re: Helicopter

I think the lawsuit idea is super. There are old roads that were bulldozed shut, and have created a more dangerous situation in the case of fires and or emergencies. Lawsuits are how the protectionists get the over restrictive regulations put in place and seems to be the only way these non-elected g...

Re: Question from new member

Sorry I am late to the dance, but want to add that I am in agreement with Greenhorn about Dick Holmes. However, as you pointed out, Holmes must have believed that Waltz had a gold mine for he spent the rest of his life searching for it, and followed by his son Brownie, and to this day by Brownie's p...

Thanks Ozarker for saving your posts, I had read them on T-net but did not save copies as I did not expect it all to vanish.

One good thing of the downhill trend of T-net, is that has breathed new life into this forum; wish that we could get along a bit better though.

I would only add that one is extremely unlikely to find a well hidden mine or cache of gold if you are hiking as fast as you can across country. Taking it slow usually works out better.
