Hello Ron,

If you can contact me at the email address supplied I have a couple of questions about one of your digs a few years back. While I wont go into details on this forum I know the dig was on a certain black topped mountain (NOT Black Top Mesa!), east of Labarge. This particular mount...

I like the web site, and hope more people start posting things. But please, lose the little gila monsters that keep crawling all over the screen and stopping on top of whatever I'm trying to read!

I would like to know more about what you've found. A Spanish tunnel, you say? You must have found artifacts already to verify your claim to the feds - what sort of artifacts? Do you get to keep part of the loot, or only the publicity? How does that all work?

Independant endorsement: I read Crooked Mountain, and really enjoyed it. Very interesting perspective on some Arizona history I thought I knew. I haven't read Zig Zag Canyon yet, but I keep meaning to pick it up. You write well, keep it up!

Dracos and lizard men
Yes. It's all true, there are dracos and lizard men out in the Superstitions. They are the minions of the race of tiny Dutchmen that inhabit the center of the earth and come to the surface at Weavers Needle. Phil should avoid the mountains by all means. The safety of the galaxy depends on it!

While casually researching the LDM, I found this odd "account". The most obvious question is: is there a real Phil Allen (common name, huh?)?

Subject: The Superstition Mountains And The Dracos. Jan. 16, 2001.

Gather round ye hearties and I will spin a little tale ab...

Thank you for the comment on Crooked Mountain. Glad you enjoyed it. I apoligize to all for not responding quicker to the bulletin board sooner, but not being a computer person and still getting to know my way around it, I just found this means to post comments today. I'd suggest that we could try to think of a constructive way to help fix this problem. Isn't the SMHS composed of all volunteers? So if there are problems getting the journal and newsletter out, maybe some of us could spare some time to help out (assuming that the problem is lack of resources). I se...

I inquired about the journal last December and was told the staff had too much work to do and they were trying to edit and proofread the materials for printing. That was 6 months ago. I gathered the staff was busy with other things and the journal took the back burner. This doesn't present a good im...
