Gene:
Can you provide a description of the Peralta book? What size, hard bound, leather cover, cover color, Spanish or English, etc? Was there any additional title on the inside title page versus just "Peralta" on the cover? Any author listed?
Thanks for any inputs on this.

Rochha, I have found one map that shows all the Arizona military forts and their connecting trails as of the early 1880's plus a state map of that era showing all the military forts and camps, mining communities, stage stations, riverboat landings and their connecting trails plus the railroads. This...

Sun Signs in the Superstitions
There is only one reference to a "Sun Sign" per Kenworhty's descriptions that I have found associated with the Superstitions. In the full version hardcover of Bary Storm's book, Thunder Gods Gold (1945/1946). there are 96 "Notes of Authenticity" at the end of the book. Note 31 on...

Forum Decorum
I have been on this Forum for several years. By and large the members have displayed a good decorum in terms of language and content although we tend to get a bit testy at times with each other. But we manage to work past that and continue to dialogue on the one topic in common - the Lost Dutchman. ...

Digout of the Dutchman Mine
Let's do some basic math on finding the LDM and uncovering the mine down to the gold level. The LDM is undoubtedly completely filled in by now and is flat with the surrounding terrain. The following math will detail the task of digging the mine out: 1. If the mine is a conical pit 75 feet in diamete...

Spanish Rules for Mining Map Making and Mine Trail Marking
It would seem illogical that the Spanish authorities would include the detailed rules/methods for making secret maps to mine locations and the marking of trails to/from the mines in the 1584 mining ordinances and their later revisions. These mining ordinances would be widely distributed and availabl...

Kenworthy - Take What's Good and Throw the Rest
I will agree with others on the Forum that Kenworthy saw a Spanish clue in ever rock in the Supers including ones that would have taken a crew of 50 miners years to carve by hand. He would also read a memory map and make a federal case out of it. However, I would caution not to throw everything Kenw...

Ron Feldman's Spanish Mine Project
Has anyone got an update on what is happening with Ron Feldman's project to open a Spanish Mine in the Supers near Iron Mountain? Haven't seen anything about it this fall and know he was hoping to get the dig started this year after jumping over all of the permit and other hurdles.
