I can't wait to hear replies. I don't have anything to contribute, but a wealth of ignorance when it comes to gold and raw precious metals. Being relatively new to the area and a layman with extreme interest in prospecting, mining and local archaeology, I appreciate your inquiry and hope that many p...

I saw a post on goldshooter.com under their "outings" they have coming up this month or next for a horseback expedition complete with food, etc... they also have pretty specific directions to the cave and site. Maybe this will help??? Hope so... I'm kinda new so I'm just learning about all...

Other trips...

Goldshooter.com shows a paid expedition they are taking a group on in October to "Skull Cave"... never been there but it sounds very interesting and they say you need someone who has been there before to help you find it. The trip itself sounded kind of cool so I thought I'd pass it on. Ha...

Wow...

I can't wait to hear the rest of this story... I wonder what information this guy had that made him come looking for something so valuable he thought he would need "Hollywood Bank Robber" gear to retrieve it? Just goes to show that none of us can be too careful in today's society... especi...

Prospecting Gear???

Anyone know of any good local stores (I'm in the carefree/I-17 area) where a fella can go to buy prospecting gear in person such as pans, picks, etc.... I found Bill Southern's store near Wickenberg, but it seems like there's got to be some other cool outfitters in the phoenix area... Any ideas guys...

Thanks!!

I did read a lot about the heist and the missing Wells Fargo money... supposedly he got busted using some of the loot in a poker game. I appreciate the directions. I am in the process of saving (or trying to levvy the wife) for enough money to get a two box detector that will go deeper and find larg...

Wonderful

I'm gonna see what my schedule is for those dates... I would like to attend at least one day (I'm in the car business so time off is as rare as cheap gas these days). I look forward to meeting some of you, it sounds like you all have a great sense of humor. I will spare you mine by making sure I don...

Anyone planning any outings in the near future?

Is anyone planning any outings in the near future who would not mind a tag along greenhorn from Washington State? I understand the weather is turning towards the part of the year here where folks tend to get out more and have more productive time in the desert and mountains with the heat easing up. ...

Lol- Thanks. We've been down since April and most of the mold has dried and blown away. Right now we're getting used to the dust and the Jurassic Park type bugs you all have down here. Overall, loving it though. Thanks again.

New to area.

I am new to the area, just moved down from Washington State. Was active in looking for ghost towns, lost treasure and overall legends/history locally. I retired from law enforcement at the ripe old age of 33 (neck injury) but was a homicide detective with specialized training in crime scene and fore...
