Re: bluff springs nountain

Troybass,

For some reason, your pix did not finish loading. I got a bunch of pixelated lines and an incomplete image. Did your pix load ok on your browser?

Re: Chuck Kenworthy and The Lost Dutchman

My question - has anyone gone up on this area of Bluff Spring Mtn to see if Chuck was correct or if there was further evidence at the site to support a mine being there? Also, has anyone looked across LaBarge Canyon up on the mountain top area for the Peralta cave Chuck claimed to have found there?...

Re: Tom Kollenborn Chronicle question...

Bill, Nice picture. Too bad the reflections from the windows on the other side of the room showed up on the window you took the picture through. Ah, Joe, you are quick. I suspect that you have enjoyed the fare at the Mammoth as well many times. I owe you a brew and do hope I can get back to Arizona...

Re: Tom Kollenborn Chronicle question...

Well, there you go, Joe ... I really bit on that one. I will have to be a little more cautious, although it might not be as much fun. I had to chuckle a bit. OK, here's one for you. I took this pix during my '08 trip to SM while I had lunch at the Mammoth Saloon in Goldfield. This pix is untouched a...

Re:

Wayne, I was kind of hoping my name would be right up there with the big guys. Visited the LDM not long ago, but must admit to not being the only one to find it.....well maybe find is also the wrong word. :? Trail was pretty well worn. Thing is, I got pictures.......what about you? :) http://i274.p...

Re:

Kenworthy's last book was "Treasure Secrets of the Lost Dutchman", available from the SMHS. I have been up to the area of Kenworthy's "X". It looked natural to me. If you look you'll notice he "enhanced" several of his photos with magic marker to make natural formation...

I think you are referring to Ron's book, Deep Fault. I do not believe Jesse's book is out yet.

I apologize for being "off-topic" but I noted several references in this thread about the Robert E. Lee move. Does anyone know if copies are still available? I would like to see it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Back to the Water...

I really do not know the history, but the names First Water and Second Water sound like names a cowhand would use to identify places along a trail into the mountains, particularly if they became reliable, primary water sources for livestock and riders alike. My question re the names of water sources...

Joe, Thanks for the welcome and comments. I think I spoke to soon, it appears I cannot change my username. Oh well, I guess I'll leave it like it is and just sign my name. Looking forward to the "new" forum and discussions on a most favorite subject. I have posted a reply earlier today re ...

Ramses' LDM Site and other observations

Greetings to all. I also am a newbie to the Forum but long time LDM enthusiast and thought I might throw in my two pennyweights on the Ramses book and some of the responses posted. I have read the book and in my humble opinion, John Ramses presents as good an argument for his reading of the LDM map ...

One Identity

Jesse, I'm new to the forum...we met over the phone a few weeks ago and am looking forward to meeting you on my next trip "outside". I agree with the efforts to enforce one identity. I think Mike's suggestion is the solution if it is technically possible to match IP addresses to members. H...
