Waltz Gold

Looking at the pictures available of the document have always led me to believe it to be a forgery. There is a portion that appears to be taped or pasted over the original page. Such an impotrtant document showing a transfer of a substantial amount of money would not be pasted together.

Sunlight through the eye of the needle points the way?

Joe may be right about Barry Storm. In the 1949 Movie "Lust for Gold", based loosely on Barry Storms book "Thunder God's Gold", Miguel Peralta finds the mine by following the moonlight through the eye of the needle. Although I don't think there is a mention of it in "Thunder...

Joe and Carolyn, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. You are right, we can never be fully prepared for this event, we are forced to deal with it, prepared or not. The kind words of your friends on this forum, I am sure are a comfort to you. In these friends your father's memory will linger on in the...

Borrego 13 - 11 left

For those of you who have not ordered Borrego 13 yet, it is a great read. Has some interesting information but the human story is what is so fascinating.
Hope you are doing well Gene.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing, he brought a unique perspective and a sharp, but kind wit to his contributions to this site. He will be missed by many.

Bob Corbin-The FBI-The Stone Maps

Or maybe whoever was in posession of the maps was also ambushed by Apaches, or was snake-bit or ran out of water and that is as far as they went. The scenarios are endless. If they are authentic we will never know how they got there. If they are a recent fabrication, we have a better chance of findi...

I have heard of People being able to Photograph and examine the originals for a fee. Anyone know if that is still possible? That might clear up any discussion of omissions or changes in the copies.

Had to really think about this one. My vote goes to Tex Barkley. I think he steered people in lots of different directions for years. He had contact with more dutch hunters than anyone else, and he actually lived in the area where the search was taking place. I believe he had knowledge that no one e...

Walter Gassler Mystery

Randy,
If you were 80 some years old, not in great health, and thought you had, after 50 years of searching finally figured out all the clues, and knew the location to the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine. I think getting there would be an extremely urgent matter.
Just my thoughts.

Joe, Buscar,
Thanks for your help. I am assuming the Crown was stamped for the King of Spain. Joe, do you think that is the same stamp used in 1518?

Has anyone seen or heard of a description of the gold bar Harry brought out of the mountains. Any stamps, or size? Also, Estee Conatser mentioned a cave of gold bars discovered in the 40's that people had been taking gold out of annually, could this be Harry's cave?

Adolph Ruth the mystery

Jeff Adams said it took them 2 days of hard labor to find the area that the directions pointed. That could mean that it was not that far away but it took them some time to figure out the directions (I am sure they don't say go 15 feet look for the X and dig), find the landmarks and navigate the terr...

Mike,
The impresion that I got from the last entries in Gassler's notes was that he had sent copies of his notes to Kollenborn and Bob Corbin in an effort to convince them to go with him into the Mountains.

Glen Magill states that he got a call from the widow of one of the men who packed Ruth into the mountains, saying that she had Ruth's maps and wondered if Magill wanted them. Because of her son's interference after he learned of her conversation Magill never received the maps. His conclusion was who...

So if the Peraltas were hiding Grijalva treasure in the Superstions, does that mean that the were not mining in the Superstitions? It does not seem logical to dig native gold out and put other gold in.
